Make up Tricks for a Picture Perfect Face

1. Flawless Skin

You will need: Total coverage liquid foundation -at least 2-3 shades lighter than your skin), Liquid foundation that matches your skin tone, Translucent powder.
Break-outs, dark spots, redness… all of these common problems (that usually occur the morning of the big event) are completely solvable! Clean and exfoliate your face thoroughly, then use your fingers to apply the lightest shade of total coverage foundation of choice. Total coverage foundations are quite heavy so once you’ve applied it, wash your hands and use clean, completely dry fingers to really work the foundation into every crease. Okay, so you’re probably as pale as your grandma’s china by now and the only good thing about it is the fact that you can’t see any imperfections (which, unfortunately can be said for your eyebrows and lip-line as well).

2. Fuller Lips

You will need: Lip pencil, lipstick, Translucent powder, Lip gloss
We’re moving on to the lips and the next of my make up tricks is going to show you how to make them appear perfectly symmetric and perfectly luscious! Outline your lips using lip pencil that either matches your lipstick color or is one shade darker, making sure you don’t trace the actual line but the imaginary line that’s just a little bit above or below your natural lip line. teeth whitening

3. Perfect Nose

You will need: 2 matte cake or powder foundations (one: shade lighter than your skin tone, other: shade darker than your skin tone) or 2 concealers (same rules apply).
This make up trick is a piece of cake, extremely versatile and will help you have a perfectly-shaped nose without the help of a professional makeup artist! The technique in question is very similar to air-brushing and involves applying darker shade to the areas you want to make slimmer and lighter shade to the areas you want to point out. A broad nose will appear much slimmer if you sweep the darker shade around its sides and use a lighter one to accent its center, narrow nose needs a reversed procedure to appear wider while long nose needs a sweep of darker concealer around and between the nostrils and on the tip.

4. Flawless Cheek Bones

You Will Need: A bronzer, A blush, Big fluffy brush, Fan brush
Having a round face that tends to look even rounder whenever I smile, I had to learn how to be picture perfect the moment I’ve started doing my makeup. It helped me achieve that killer bone structure my natural face was lacking, I got to save a lot of cash by doing my own special event/party makeup and I must admit my face never looked «fake» or too «made up». And here’s what to do! First of all, dip your fluffy brush into a bronzer then suck your cheeks in and simply follow that natural dent using light, sweeping motions. Always sweep up, starting at the corner of your mouth and going all the way up towards your cheek bones.

5. Huuuge Eyes I lash

You Will Need: White eye pencil, Highlighter, Shimmery White Eyeshadow
Want more cool make up tricks? Well, here’s one make up trick you’ll love! After all, which girl doesn’t want a set of big dreamy eyes? And in order to get them start by applying highlighter to the inner corners of your eyes. Once you’ve done that, apply your eye-shadow however you like, then add a dab of very shiny, flesh-color or white eye-shadow to the centers of your upper and lower lid and to the inner corner of your eye

6. Perfectly Shaped Eyes

You Will Need: A highlighter, Dark eye-shadow, Light eye-shadow
Anyone can have perfect eyes and droopy eyelids, the so-called «sad eyes» or eyes that appear to be bulging out don’t have to trouble you any longer! The rule here is pretty simple – choose light colors to accent the areas that need to appear wider and dark colors to create the illusion of a crease. Never pull your eyelids up while applying makeup because you won’t be able to tell if the line you’re shading is going to look good once you release them. And, in order to turn sad, droopy eyes into sexy cat eyes simply use a darker eye-shadow to create that curvy, upwards-facing line and «hide» the droopy corner using a light, flesh-color eye-shadow.

7. Long Lasting Matte Perfection

You Will Need: Loose powder/Matte cake foundation
My list of tips on how to be picture perfect just wouldn’t be complete without a few tips on how to achieve a perfectly matte, long lasting complexion! But let me ask you something – which part of your face greases up the first? Well, next time you want to do a complete, professional looking makeup remember not to apply moisturizer to that part. That should give you at least an hour or two more before the shine starts showing through! But let’s kick it up a notch- apply a coat of matte cake powder to seal your liquid foundation and your face will be shine-proof all night long!

3. Apply Coconut Oil to Your Skin

Did you know that coconut oil is a great alternative to a lot of the creams that you are using? Trust me, this oil is great to soften up your skin and really make it stand out and glow.

Moisturizing is also super, super important when you are going all natural. After all, you want your skin to look it’s best right?

7 Mascaras to Actually Help Your Lashes Grow

7 Mascaras to Actually Help Your Lashes Grow

1. Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum

sometimes I use this lash plumper serum as mascara itself, even though it’s meant to be a base for another dior mascara. It visibly lengthens my lashes, and nourishes them with hydrolyzed soy proteins, so they’re able to grow longer and thicker… technically, this isn’t a mascara to help grow lashes

2. Noir G De Guerlain Exceptional Complete mascara

This mascara helps lashes grow with a unique keratin complex, and it has the inkiest, slinkiest formula! I love the brush, too, and the case is refillable, so it’s eco-friendly.

3. urban decay Lush Lash System

It’s a two-step system. First, apply a peptide gel to your lash line with a tiny brush, then coat your lashes with the jet-black mascara, which contains more conditioners to lengthen and strengthen your lashes.

4. Shiseido Nourishing mascara Base

This mascara base contains conditioners to nourish lashes. Again, it’s not a mascara itself, but an ideal base to help your lashes grow, and to keep your mascara looking great all day long.

5. Clinique Lash Building Primer

This primer has been tested by ophthalmologists, so you know it won’t irritate your eyes. It’s another mascara to help grow lashes that’s more of a base than a topcoat, but I love to wear it alone for a natural look.

 6. Tarte MultiplEYE™ Clinically-Proven Natural Lash Enhancing Primer

The name really says it all, doesn’t it? Tarte’s unique formula encourages your lashes to grow, and strengthens the ones you already have, up to, they claim, more than 700%. That’s a lot of lashes

follow these tips to keep your eyes healthy as well as beautiful:

  • Throw away eye makeup after three months. Infection-causing bacteria grow easily in creamy or liquid eye makeup. If you develop an eye infection, immediately toss all of your eye makeup.
  • Never share eye makeup, and when sampling makeup in stores use only fresh applicators and samples that have not been contaminated by multiple users. (The safest choice is to avoid store samples altogether.)
  • If you tend to be allergic, introduce only one new eye makeup or care product at a time. If there is no reaction, add another new product, and so on. If you notice an allergic reaction, find out what the ingredients are and let your doctor know. Avoid products that contain untested or harmful chemicals.
  • Before applying makeup, be sure your face , lashes  and eyelids are very clean. Always apply makeup outside the lash line, away from the eye, to avoid blocking the oil glands of the upper or lower eyelid. These glands secrete oil that protects the eye’s surface. Never apply makeup while in a moving vehicle.
  • Eye Makeup Palette
  • Do not separate your mascara-clumped lashes with sharp items.
  • If you tend to have dry eyes, avoid metallic/glitter, powder or other makeup that flakes. Flakes can get into the tear film and increase your eyes’ irritation. Glitter eye makeup is a common cause of corneal irritation or infection, especially in contact lens users.
  • Remove all eye makeup at night before sleeping, especially mascara that can stick to the lashes. Brush a clean cotton swab along the base of the eyelashes to remove all makeup remnants. If you use eye makeup remover, avoid getting it in your eyes and thoroughly rinse remover off your eyelids.

What You Should Know About Enhancing Your  i lashes with Latisse

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved the use of a prescription drug, Latisse, to help lengthen, thicken and darken eyelashes. However, there are other, undesirable side effects, such as eye redness, irritation and darkening of the skin of the eyelids. Darkening of the iris (the colored portion of the eye) has also been reported, and this side effect cannot be reversed.

How to Apply Eye Makeup in 8 Steps

  1. Prep your eyes with concealer Concealer can be used to cover up under-eye circles or just the bluish discoloration just under your inner eye. To cover dark undereye circles, apply three dots of concealer under each eye. Start at the inner corner where skin tends to be darkest, then under the pupil and the third on the outer edge. Pat, never rub with your ring finger (this finger tends to have the softest pad) until it disappears.
  2. Apply eye base to your lid Eye base is the secret to keeping your shadow in place for hours. Without properly priming your lid first, your eyeshadow will likely end up a greasy line in your crease.
  3. Follow with eyeliner Dark eyeshadows work great as eyeliners. Wet a slanted brush, then dip in a dark eyeshadow. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner. Follow with liner on bottom eyes, but only line from the middle of the eye out. Smudge the bottom line with a Q-tip or your finger. You don't want a prominent line.
  4. Apply eyeshadow. It's great to use a three-toned shadow and build from lids to brow. Allowing them to blend into each other like a rainbow is gorgeous, according to celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal. Start with a light color that almost matches your lid. Sweep the color across the lid and up to your browbone. Follow with a medium color across your lid only. I lash
  5. Brighten your eyes with a highlighter This step involves only the inside part of the eye. Putting a bit of your lightest eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye will brighten it significantly (this is the makeup artist's secret and I use this trick all the time). I usually dab a finger into my lightest eyeshadow and then I press it into the inner corner of my eye where the upper lid meets the bottom lid. This totally makes eyes "pop."
  6. Highlight your brow Take the same light eyeshadow and dab it on your browbone, concentrating on your mid-brow outward. Blend with your finger
  7. Curl lashes An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blowdryer for a couple seconds. Test curler before applying to lashes because you could burn yourself.
  8. Apply mascara Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth.
