MAKE MAKEUP LAST ON OILY SKIN

1. PROTECT

Before we learn: how to make makeup last on oily skin and what products to use, let’s not forget about sunscreen!
2. PRIME
These tips to make makeup last wouldn’t be complete without primers. You’ve probably already used face and eye primers, but sometimes I like to take it a step further by adding another mattifying cream to my T-zone. Some ladies find that traditional primers just don’t work for them so they use things like Aloe Vera gel and Monistat as face primer or lip balm.

3. LIGHTEN UP

When you’re learning how to make makeup last, know what foundations work best for your skin type ! Thicker foundations might seem like the way to go since you want a long-lasting finish but actually, staying on the sheerer side is better!

4. POWDER
A tip to make makeup last that might seem a little counter-intuitive is to go easy on the powder. It sounds a little crazy, right?! I know, but too much powder can look cakey, fake and make your pores produce even more oil!

5. BLOT
Once you’ve applied all of your makeup, how to make makeup last on oily skin is to use blotting papers. Blotting papers are a quick and easy way to blot away excess oil without piling on even more makeup.
6. WATERPROOF
Another one of the tips to make makeup last is to consider using waterproof eye makeup. I know, waterproof eye makeup can be a real pain to get off but honey, it lasts! If you’re not too hip to that idea, a great alternative to waterproof is a long-wearing formula.
7. REDUCE
Tips to make makeup last also include reducing excess oil from your life! Give your skin a nice break from all the primping and treat it to an oil-absorbing mask. Look for a deep-cleansing, clarifying or clay mask to draw out and absorb oils, impurities and tighten pores. Use a mask once or twice a week for best results!

UNEXPECTED WAYS TO REMOVE WATER-PROOF MAKEUP

1. WARM WATER

Does using warm water sound like a wackadoodle way to remove water-proof makeup? That’s because warm water is just the beginning of the process! I used to always take a cotton pad soaked with makeup remover straight to my eyes but when I have really stubborn eye makeup, I start by loosening it with some warm water on a washcloth.
2. PETROLEUM JELLY
Ladies, using petroleum jelly as a makeup remover isn’t anything new but it’s definitely an unexpected way to remove it! Some shy away from petroleum jelly because it’s a byproduct of oil drilling but it’s actually in a lot of products we use.

3. OLIVE OIL

Olive oil is one of the more well-known ways to remove water-proof makeup. Many people use olive oil to remove waterproof mascara but you can also use it take off blush, foundation, lipstick and theater makeup! You can even take off eyelash extensions with olive oil after you’ve steamed your face, it’s a really versatile little oil that we should always keep in our kitchen!
4. COCONUT OIL
Another easy and economical way to remove water-proof makeup is to use coconut oil! Coconut oil smells divine and the oil can condition your  I lashes too
5. NO TEARS BABY SHAMPOO
Have you heard of using baby oil to remove waterproof makeup? I hadn’t and while some love it, others aren’t so fond of using it as a makeup remover, so it’s your call. You can make it by mixing some baby shampoo and water at a 1:10 ratio and pouring it in a container. Shake it up and apply on your eyelids like you would any other remover.

1. DIORSHOW BLACK OUT MASCARA

This mascara has such a rich, creamy formula that it instantly lengthens lashes. The large brush helps to add volume to make lashes appear fuller. Make sure you choose Diorshow Black Out Mascara as opposed to just diorshow mascara because it has a gorgeous inky, black color that is deeper than that of any other mascara I have tried!

TIPS FOR CONCEALING ACNE SCARS

1. TAKE GREAT CARE OF YOUR SKIN

Prevention should always be the goal, but pimples and blemishes are often unavoidable. It’s important to have a thorough skin care regimen that you follow every morning and night. At the very minimum, you should cleanse and moisturize your skin twice daily. Make sure to remove your makeup before cleansing at night; otherwise, washing your face with cleanser will only remove the makeup and not actually cleanse the skin. I lash

2. PREP THE SKIN

You should always apply makeup to clean, moisturized skin. To enhance the appearance of your makeup and increase its staying power, apply a makeup primer before putting on your makeup. Primers have a silicone base that helps fill in lines and evens out the surface texture of the skin.
3. CHOOSE THE RIGHT COLOR OF CONCEALER
Choosing a concealer that does not properly match your skin tone will only make the acne scar or blemish stand out more. You want to choose a shade of concealer that is the most similar to that of your natural skin color. If you can’t find an exact match, 1 shade lighter than your natural color is the next best choice.
4. APPLY CONCEALER SPARINGLY
Applying too much concealer can make acne scars more visible or cause the makeup to look cakey. Apply just enough to spread a light layer over the area you need to conceal. Remember that you can always add more, but it’s more difficult to take away what you’ve already applied. J
5. APPLY CONCEALER WITH YOUR FINGERTIPS
My favorite way to apply concealer on myself is to use my fingertips. I like to use creamy concealers, so applying them with your fingertips helps warm the product so that it goes on more easily. Your ring finger applies the perfect amount of pressure for applying concealer — less pressure than that of your pointer finger, but more than your pinky finger.
6. APPLY FOUNDATION FIRST
I have found the most effective way to conceal acne scars is to first apply your foundation and then follow with concealer. When I apply concealer before my foundation, I tend to wipe away a lot of the concealer with my foundation brush or sponge. This causes me to use more product, because I always have to go back and apply more concealer.
7. SET CONCEALER WITH POWDER
For ultimate staying powder and concealment, always set your foundation and concealer with a powder. Powder keeps everything in place and allows it to last throughout the day

FOUNDATION TIPS TO COVER OUR FRECKLES

1. START WITH CONCEALER

First and foremost, you want to start learning how to cover freckles up by using a bit of concealer. You can actually dab this all over your freckles with a sponge or even your ring finger, blending in very well.

2. FIND THE RIGHT SHADE OF FOUNDATION
When you are looking for foundation to learn how to cover up freckles, you’ve got to make sure that you find the right shade. You want a shade that matches your skin tone completely. After all of your concealer is on, then you’ll want to take a sponge and put on your foundation, blending everything together.
3. POWDER IT UP
Once you have applied the concealer and foundation, the next step on how to cover freckles is to use some powder! Powder is a great way to conceal everything and to truly lock in your makeup. Remember though, you want to choose a powder that either matches your skin tone or a translucent powder, so you’ll have a lovely glow.
4. A LITTLE BRONZER
While you might be learning exactly how to cover freckles, you do still want to keep that summer glow about your skin. That’s what bronzer is all about! Bronzer can also make your freckles disappear completely, so nobody will be able to tell that you even have any. I lash
5. ADD SOME BLUSH
Another step is to pump up your blush! Adding a bit of blush to your look can completely change it! It really brings out your eyes and ensures that you look completely natural. With the blush, you want to find a color that works for your skin tone, that is the most important part!
6. AVOID BEING CAKEY
While you might think that adding all of this makeup is a lot to just cover up your freckles, you’ve got to make sure that you are avoiding caking up your skin. The cakey look is not attractive and it isn’t natural at all! How do you avoid being cakey? Maybe use a powder that is light and airy, along with just a few swipes of bronzer and blush. J
